Bringing fun to online shopping for everyone. ID.me leverages its award-winning identity verification platform to offer military veterans, students, and other groups exclusive savings from top retail brands. To expand ID.me's user base from these niche groups to the general public, Viget created a retail rewards shopping site with a cash-back loyalty program that turns shopping into a game.

    Although the cash back rewards system had complex requirements, the interface needed to be simple, engaging, and easy to navigate. We also ensured that group-exclusive offers were visible and easily accessible, but didn’t take over the site. Users needed to be intrigued, comprehend the value of membership, and ultimately be motivated to create an account.

    ID.me also has many different types of retail partnerships that necessitate variable offer and cash back information per store and per offer. We designed and developed a holistic and easy to understand way of displaying this information that would take their many partner scenarios into account, while incorporating curated ad space into the design without sacrificing quality or usability.

  • GamificationShopping as a Game

    The site enables users to take control over their cash back rewards by turning shopping into a game. We created a “cash back dashboard” where users can earn higher levels of cash back on their purchases by personalizing their account, shopping through ID.me, and sharing ID.me with friends.

Summary

Telling ID.me’s story of trust, security, exclusivity, and value was no small task. The web application we designed and built tells that story through a unique experience that allows users to find offers that are relevant to them, but also motivates them to continue shopping through ID.me by gamifying the cash back rewards experience.
