Viget is an independent digital agency that has been branding, designing, and building digital products and platforms since 1999. Our culture is ideal for lifelong learners seeking a variety of meaningful work, supportive collaboration with positive teammates, and a healthy work/life balance. We work from four offices (hybrid) and remote locations throughout the U.S., and utilize a proven cadence of virtual and in-person meetings and retreats to build comradery and stay connected. We love our team.
At Viget, UX Researchers produce compelling insights and recommendations that result from rigorous analysis. Their findings improve clients’ products and users’ experiences. The ideal candidate embraces a mixed-methods mindset and is excited to work as part of collaborative, multidisciplinary teams to shape digital products and experiences.
As a UX Researcher, you will:
Collaborate closely with client stakeholders and cross-discipline project teams, helping them use research insights to make effective decisions.
Design and execute research studies integrating qualitative and quantitative methods such as interviews, observation, usability testing, surveys, and behavioral data analysis.
Conduct research at different stages of the design process — from leading initial product discovery to validating design solutions.
Clean and analyze data from analytics tools, clickstream tools, and user surveys. Use tools and programming languages (e.g., R, Python) for data manipulation and statistical analysis as needed.
Synthesize findings and articulate insights in a compelling and actionable way. You will not only share what the data says, but what it means for the project and how it should influence the strategy.
Influence the work of disciplines like product design, brand strategy, and development. You will help your teammates leverage your insights by actively participating in and contributing to the creative process.
Work flexibly and efficiently, exercising a balance between research rigor and speed.
Consistently meet deadlines and are considerate of clients’ project budgets and timelines.
Take pride in listening, communicating, and collaborating exceptionally well.
In a given week, you might:
Work with clients to define research questions and goals for an upcoming study.
Analyze the results of a multivariate test you conducted on an ecommerce site.
Collaborate with teammates to generate strategic product recommendations.
Conduct generative user interviews with small business owners as part of a discovery effort.
A successful candidate will:
Have example work you can share with us to illustrate how you approach the research process, preferably in an online portfolio.
Have a degree, certification, or equivalent work experience showing aptitude with UX research.
