FALLS CHURCH, VA – Senior Developer Ben Scofield will be presenting “Building and Working with Static Sites in Ruby on Rails” at the Central Virginia Ruby Enthusiasts’ Group on Tuesday, July 10, 2007, in Richmond.

Scofield, who is leading the development efforts at Viget Labs’ new Durham office, spoke on this same topic in May at RailsConf in Portland, Oregon.

“Presenting at RailsConf was great because I was able to see how many people were working on this problem, and how many had hit on similar solutions,” he said.

The discussion at CVREG will address his experiences in developing and deploying a mini-framework within Rails to handle custom content management and presentation of static content.

“I’m excited about presenting again. I expect to get new ideas from more Rails people on how to refine our approach so that it works in as many cases as possible.”
