Research is an important part of our process here at Viget. It helps us better understand our users and make informed design decisions. Spending time talking to real people through user interviews or other research activities is one of my favorite things about being a UX Designer. Scheduling appointments with those participants, however, is not.

Trying to schedule individual appointments with a potentially large group of potential participants can be a real pain. Although there are plenty of tools out there that can assist with scheduling, there wasn’t one that really fit our research process here at Viget. We needed a tool that allowed us to pick the times that worked for our schedules and send them to potential participants, in a format that also provided adequate context for those participants.

We set out to fill this gap by creating our own user research scheduling tool which we affectionately named pow wow and launched through our Pointless Corp. program.

See how it works:

We built this tool for ourselves but we wanted to share it with the community as well. If you feel like it meets your needs, give it try. If you have feedback you’d like to share with us, you can reach us at usepowwow.com/feedback.
