Melissa Piper

Who else remembers hit counters? Melissa has always had an interest in technology and all of the things you can accomplish with it. She graduated with a bachelor’s in Computer Science, but ultimately followed her heart and pursued a path in web development.

She started working with the web in the late ‘90s, where she built “amazing” websites on Geocities using tables, featuring background music and hit counters. Thankfully, the web and Melissa’s skills have evolved since then, but she’s continued to focus on writing semantic and accessible HTML, well-structured CSS, and efficient JavaScript. However, she’s left hit counters in the past.
