Viget Expands HQ, Moves to City of Falls Church
FALLS CHURCH, VA – Viget Labs, a top web consulting firm near Washington, D.C., has moved into new headquarters in the heart of Falls Church, Virginia, just 10 minutes from the nation's capital. The company, which was co-founded in 1999 by brothers Andy Rankin and Brian Williams, had been bursting at the seams of its old office location near Tysons Corner thanks to 300 percent growth over the past three years.
"We're fortunate to have brought together a fantastic team of creative, talented people who love to collaborate with clients and each other. We designed our new space specifically to support the kind of work we do, including hosting client workshops and small industry events," said Williams, CEO. "We take our work seriously, but not ourselves so much – so we threw in a little café and lounge with a Wii for good measure."
The new office, located at 400 South Maple Avenue near the intersection of Route 7 and Route 29 in downtown Falls Church, is easily accessible from major thoroughfares like I-66, I-495, and Rt. 50. It is also just more than one mile from the East Falls Church Metro stop, and not far from the W&OD trail for those who opt to bike to work.
Rankin, president, added, "While this region is a great place to work and live, traffic is a real issue, so it's something we considered heavily. Our flex schedule plan allows our staff members to minimize traffic headaches; but, we still needed a central location for the team, which is spread out all over DC, Maryland, and Virginia. The City of Falls Church offers that midpoint and allows us to avoid the traffic jams that are predicted for the Tysons Corner area because of the new metro being built there."
Rankin has been closely following the city's extensive redevelopment plans. "We are arriving at the beginning of a multi-year plan to add new commercial, retail, and residential buildings in the city center, creating a real downtown feel within walking distance of our new office. We're excited to be a part of the revival."
This expansion comes only three months after Viget officially opened the doors of its southern office, which is in Durham, NC.
"We're experiencing growth all around," Williams said. "It's exciting to be in our new space – it inspires even greater work so we can continue exceeding not just client expectations, but our own as well."
