DURHAM, NC – Senior Developer Clinton R. Nixon will wear his speaker's hat on October 16, 2007 when he gives a talk on code extraction and re-use at the next Raleigh-Area Ruby Brigade (Raliegh.rb) meeting.

In his talk, "Building Applications as Plug-ins," Nixon will address the standard ways to ensure Rails applications work together harmoniously when combined.  He and Senior Developer Ben Scofield have created a way to help ensure smooth integration for Rails applications, which they are calling "Resourceful Plug-ins."

"It's still very new," Nixon said of their idea, which is a method to package applications as Rails plug-ins so that they can be used the same way in other Rails applications.  "We think it's a great idea, so I'm really looking to get more feedback on it while we continue to develop."

The discussion begins at 7 p.m. Learn more about the October Meetup.
