Fairfax County “In Full Swing” at FXVA.com
FALLS CHURCH, VA (September 27, 2005) – Yesterday, Fairfax County's Convention and Visitors Corporation (FCCVC) unveiled a new brand, slogan, and – thanks to Viget Labs – web site, to help promote Fairfax as a tourist destination. The slogan "FX Marks the Spot" reflects Visit Fairfax's position that, in addition to being home to dozens of the most relevant tourist attractions in the region, it should also be considered the center of tourist activity for the Greater Washington area.
A profile of yesterday's presentation in today's Washington Post included a quote from Visit Fairfax President Arnie Quirion who said "we want to give the impression that Fairfax County is the spot to be."
Viget Labs has worked with Visit Fairfax for several months to help give that impression through its newly redesigned web site (www.fxva.com).
"A significant portion of FXVA's web visitors are from outside the region, so the site is providing their first impression of what Fairfax County has to offer. We consider www.fxva.com to be the centerpiece of Visit Fairfax's marketing push, and we're proud to play a part in helping the county to be more successful," said Viget Labs CEO Brian Williams.
In addition to panoramic photos, tour itineraries, and an event calendar, fxva.com features tourism packages designed for both out-of-town guests, as well as hosts living here in the County.
