Laying Foundations for Change

Atlantic Philanthropies needed a photo-rich and inspiring site to promote a new book, Laying Foundations for Change, which centers around capital projects granted by the foundation. Atlantic asked Viget for help translating the book into a digital medium and building out a WordPress site that could be updated to share progress on Atlantic's work.

Downloading the book is a key success metric for the site. A persistent menu allows users to download the two volumes of the book, as PDFs.

The book includes essays written by notable philanthropists and others who have seen the impact that Atlantic's work has had on the regions where the work was done. The site highlights each of these essays, linked from an overview of the book itself.

Following the photo-heavy approach to the book, the site also highlights many of the photographs taken for the site through shareable photo galleries and image-rich pages.
