How do you put it all together to make an exceptional digital product? Learn with us this summer!
At Viget, we help clients concept, design, and launch compelling digital products. As our Product Design Intern, you'll participate in aspects of the design process including research, exploration, prototyping, and visual design.
You'll experience key aspects of a digital project by working with members of other discipline teams. You'll join client meetings to experience presentations and consultations firsthand. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to client work and internal Viget initiatives, and you'll meet regularly with your Advisor to discuss your progress on personalized learning goals.
The Basics
- The internship is offered at our headquarters office in Falls Church, Virginia, just outside Washington, DC.
- After Week 3, interns can WFH (work from home) some of the time.
- The internship lasts 10 weeks, from June 3 to August 9.
- Interns will be expected to work 40 hours/week (usually 9-5, M-F, but we can be somewhat flexible).
- Relocation is not provided.
About You (You may not have all of these, and that's okay!)
- You have some experience in design or with digital products.
- You’re familiar with design and wireframing software (like Figma, Whimsical, Sketch, XD) or are confident in your ability to quickly become comfortable with these tools.
- You enjoy diving into technical details.
- You have an innate sense for what makes a great digital product. You keep a mental list of products you love and those you hate.
- You're passionate about technology. You're the first among your friends to know about the latest trends, methods, and tools in the web and tech industries.
- You get things done. No matter what you're doing, you take pride in your work. You enjoy responsibility and you know that real effort pays off daily.
- You are currently enrolled in college, preferably as a current junior or senior.
- You have a track record of holding leadership positions, balancing school and work, or other equivalent examples of success.
- You have the permanent, legal right to work in the US. We are unable to sponsor visas at this time.
Benefits
- We offer $480/week ($4,800/summer), paid monthly on a pro rata basis. Course credit is also an option.

- We offer several opportunities to connect with coworkers each week, both in-person and virtually, including our weekly all-hands meeting.
- You’ll experience Viget at its most vigorous by participating in summer activities, challenges, hang-outs, etc.
