Automated Cellular Lock Box
Challenge
Haimat wanted to simplify apartment hunting by strengthening security and integrating connected hardware.
Solution
A two-week sprint to define their concept and turn it into two fully-functioning prototypes with fleet-management web interface.
Results
A battery-powered cellular device with integrated touch screen, locking mechanism, SMS authentication, and web back end.
Apartment hunting on lock. Based out of New York City, Haimat wanted to make apartment shopping easier for prospective tenants and property managers. Instead of showing apartments in person, managers would be able to temporarily authorize prospective tenant’s phone numbers, allowing them to access a property during a specific window. In two short weeks, we delivered two fully-functioning cellular prototypes — each featuring firmware and pre-certified modules that easily migrated from small to large batch manufacturing.
