Strayer University Launches New Web Site

FALLS CHURCH, VA – In close collaboration with Viget Labs, Strayer University has launched a new Web site at www.strayer.edu, to ensure students can maximize their educational potential online or at any of the nearly 50 campuses nationwide.

Strayer has been helping working adults advance their careers since 1892. As a leading provider of affordable, quality, and convenient courses and online degree programs, Strayer has forged its way in higher education as a supportive place in which professionals across the United States can advance their careers.

As is natural with leaders, growth is of utmost importance. Strayer plans to open several new campuses, including a campus in California, within the next few years. Viget Labs, in an effort to accommodate this growth, integrated Drupal as Strayer's content management system, which allows for multiple users to enter content, course, and campus information within a predetermined workflow that ensures quality control. Additionally, Viget implemented a dynamic Flash map that allows users to experience campus locations, and allows Strayer to create additional campuses as they continue to expand.

The new Strayer Web site features photographs of current students and alumni, an expanded course catalog search capability, and homepages for each of the individual campuses. These changes mark the first of many online projects -- such as enhanced student, faculty, and alumni portals -- that will cater to the growing Strayer population.
