Emily Dieu

Warning: easily distracted by birds. Emily keeps an eye out for the little things, birds being a favorite focus point. Her curiosity has led her to major in Visual Media Studies at Duke University, where she is a rising senior fueled by a desire to understand how people and technology can interact to create better futures.

While she has always admired tech for its potential for social good, Emily’s engineering classes left her wanting a closer connection to the people using technology. That drive has led her down a research path where she uses her keen eye to help shape the digital world. When Emily’s not looking for birds, she enjoys studying accessibility, design, and human behavior.
