Squidoo
Everyone’s an expert at something. In 2005, well-known author and Internet marketing pioneer Seth Godin wanted to allow people to share their expertise through easy-to-build web pages (called “lenses”) in a way that would generate revenue for themselves and for charity (as well as Squidoo). Building a scalable platform that would support millions of users, custom-built pages, and transactions required a team with technical depth, an eye for usability, and a firm understanding of what makes Web 2.0 applications effective. Viget Labs partnered to provide the optimal team and Squidoo has emerged as an early success.

Squidoo gets nearly 6 million unique visitors per month, and roughly 12 million unique visits. Raising money for charity was one of original goals of the site, and they’ve done that to the tune of more than $100,000.
There are plenty of shops that can do web programming, plenty that claim they can do UI work and plenty that are even hipper than you. There are very few that manage to pull off the kind of work that Viget does. -Seth Godin, bestselling author, entrepreneur and agent of change
