Spoonflower
This local start-up came to Viget with an idea -- to print custom designs on fabric -- but needed an interactive site to accommodate this unique purpose. We built a custom application in Ruby on Rails to manage users' image uploads and made user experience recommendations, as well. Beyond the application itself, we also provided transition services to help Spoonflower's internal team manage the site -- leading peer programming efforts for several weeks to help train technical staff. Since going public in 2008, the Spoonflower community has reached around 70,000 users, and its marketplace offers the world's largest collection of independent fabric designers.
What We Did:

User experience design to increase conversion rates on user checkout
Agile mentoring to define atomic, reachable goalposts during development so that customers could engage as early as possible
